Hi. I've spent the last 15 years designing and directing impactful user experiences for big companies like Target and smaller companies like Sweetgreen.

Experience

Cadence

2022 – Present

Candence is the leading remote patient monitoring company in the US. I joined right after Series B fundraising as a Design leader to define and grow Product Design and UX Research. I've imlemented prototype feedback loops, review cycles, longitudinal quantitative and qualitative insights processes, and a brand design practice for our 3-sided platform: A Clinician experience, Partner Physician experience, and patient experience. I've developed a patient journey from scratch, including an app, packaging, SMS conversational system, emails, and onboarding site companion.

Chownow

2020 – 2022

I joined Chownow to lead Product Design and grow the practice from 4 to 13 multidisciplinary UI Designers, Service Designers and UX Researchers. I established and cultivated an inclusive culture, implemented working norms, a eam leveling framework, review cycles, and navigated an organization with deeply rooted practices. On the work front, I led the effort to build a Marketplace app during a time when small businesses needed it the most, adding a valuable incremental revenue stream.

Sweetgreen

2017 – 2020

As the first internal Product Design hire, I grew the team to 6 multidisciplinary UI Designers, Service Designers, and UX Researchers. I led experience design efforts for Sweetgreen's store of the future, including kiosk ordering, a streamlined pickup experience, digital menu boards, interactive brand moments, and back-of-house tooling. We improved customer NPS, increased 4-wall margin, and increased account creations. Beyond the store experience, I led a rebrand with Collins, designed a new loyalty experience, and increased retention. All in preparation for IPO. What a fun ride.

Dollar Shave Club

2015 – 2017

I oversaw Experience Design for subscription acquisition + retention on mobile app + site platforms, in addition to physical retail. I facilitated an ethnographic research initiative that resulted in detailed personas and journey maps, which informed the product roadmap. I led work to introduce a branded content hub on the site and app that increased retention and DAU. I increased revenue generated on app and site conversion for 1st-time subscribers by developing a new subscription model working closely with Mike & the executives. And I led Design for DSC’s first physical presence- a vending maching with interactive digital displays and a playful reveal. Much laughter and fond memories of DSC.

KBS+P, Second Story & SapientNitro

2010 – 2015

Cut my teeth in UX, Service and Interface design, in addition to brand + product strategy. I'm grateful for the curious and talented folks I worked with across industries from Puma, BMW, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Verizon, Coca Cola, Sony, Under Armour, and cultural institutions like the Tribeca Festival, Cuyahoga National Park, and more. I experienced high-pressure pitches, retail strategy initiatives, and unvieled (at the time) the world's largest LED screen. I gained a liberal arts education in corporate operations, technology and user experience.

Values

How I approach the work and team orchestration

Assume Positive Intent

Let’s create an environment for sharing our opinions freely, and that starts with trusting each other and recognizing we all want the same thing.

Diverge to converge

Generating diverse ideas, perspectives, and solutions—before thoughtfully narrowing our focus. By first diverging, we challenge assumptions, unlock innovation, and surface the most impactful possibilities.

Deadlines are our friends

Deadlines are creative catalysts rather than constraints. They sharpen focus and drive intentional decision-making.

Impact over perfection

Value rapid iteration, growth through experimentation, and embrace imperfections as opportunities for learning and innovation.

A bit about me

This is the coolest photo I could muster. With a growing family and an old house, I do my best to enjoy surfing the Jersey shore, playing tennis, and reading. On the design front, I've been getting into Google Sketchup to dream up house updates.
